Jam with Just Jinjer

Just Jinjer is set to rock the Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday 16 march.

JUST Jinjer, one of South Africa’s most celebrated bands, is set to headline the second Old Mutual Music at the Lake Concert at the Durban Botanic Gardens on Sunday 16 March. Acoustic duo, The Kickstands, is the supporting act.

Just Jinjer’s polished performances have garnered them local and international fans. They have shared the stage with massive international acts, such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Ludacris and Angelique Kidjo. The band is currently recording their ninth studio album.

“I’m so excited about performing at the gardens again. We have some great new material and of course all the favourites. I’m from Durban, so I’m very excited to perform at one of my favourite venues,” said Ard Matthews, the band’s front man.

Accompanying Just Jinjer is the Durban-born and acoustic duo, The Kickstands. The band’s achievements include playing on large stages such as Splashy Fen, Durban Day and the FIFA World Cup. This dynamic, versatile and zealous duo has gained major popularity.

Tickets cost R120 (pre-sold) and R150 for on-the-day sales. Tickets for children aged eight to 12 years cost R80 and children under eight get free entrance. All children are encouraged to visit the KidZone for some additional fun and games.

Guests are welcome to take their own drinks, cooler boxes and picnic baskets. Gates will open at 1pm for pre-sold tickets and at 1.30pm for on-the-day ticket sales. The show is set to start at 2.30pm.

Secure parking will be available on the Juventus ground. Entrance to all parking is off lower John Zikhale (Sydenham) Road, adjacent to the Botanic Gardens and the Munies Hockey Field. Contact 031 322 4021.
