GO along to the Sonata evening for violin and piano at St Agnes Church in Kloof on Thursday 30 January at 7.30pm.
Music Revival presents the first Kloof Classic concert for the year. This is part of the monthly concert series that will be presented on the last Thursday of each month at St Agnes Church in Kloof.
In a selection of substantial violin sonatas by the highly regarded international concert violinist, Juilliard graduate and newly appointed concert master of the KZNPO, Joanna Frankel, partners Christopher Duigan in a programme of masterful and beguiling compositions.
The selected sonatas for violin and piano by Mozart, Elgar and Brahms pose substantial challenges to both players. Music by Spanish composer de Falla and the mesmerising Spiegel im Spiegel by Arvo Part complete the programme. This follows on their recent performance at the Durban Jewish Club for Friends of Music.
