Gee Jays return to Heritage Theatre

Gee Jays share snippets of their finest and funniest material.

GEE Jays return to the Heritage Theatre in Hillcrest with a special compilation show titled Snippets, which includes some of their finest and funniest material. The Gee Jays – Gary McKenzie, Grant Bell and John Didlick, at the behest of many of their long time fans, have put together a selection of songs and sketches from all their shows, and re-visit some of the most hilarious moments in their illustrious careers.

The show includes excerpts from their first smash hit shows Not The Full Monty, The Three Tonners, and Book Club to their later successes, Bad Moon Rising, Who’s Your Daddy and Boep Idles.

Expect all the old favourites from The Beatles to Roy Orbison, Michael Jackson to Elvis and Tom Jones to Robbie Wessels. The Gee Gays re-visit how men can multi-task. There’s some brain numbing red-neck antics and even a message from ‘The Arch’ thrown in for good measure.

The show, however, is not for the feint hearted and does carry a health warning. Some slight pain in the cheek muscles and tummy may be experienced. Stay away if you have misplaced your sense of humour.

Tickets are R185 for a Tuesday dinner and Sunday lunch and R215 Wednesday to Saturday. Ticket price includes a two-course meal, however there is a show-only option available for R130 each (no meal included).

There are three promotional ‘low price previews’ on 28, 29 and 30 January, where tickets will be R215 each on a buy-one-get-one-free basis.

The show runs from 28 January to 9 February. To book, contact the theatre on 031 765 4197 or online at www.heritagetheatre.co.za
