WBHS claims victory against St Charles

Westville won six of the 10 games, drew two and lost two.

WESTVILLE Boys’ High School 1st XI team travelled to St Charles on Saturday to take on the Maritzburg school in football.

The match was a hard-fought contest between the two teams with Westville dominating possession.

“St Charles always dangerous on the counter attack which bought the half time score to an even 0-0,” said 1st team football coach, Dan Haswell.

Westville upped the tempo in the second half which allowed for captain Austin Ibeleme to burst through from midfield to score.

“The Westville defense held firm to protect the lead for a very satisfying win 1-0 being the final score. A successful day in Maritzburg for the WBHS teams,” said Haswell.
