WBHS honours tie-riffic learners

The trio received the highest honours one can achieve at school level.

THREE of Westville Boys’ High School’s learners reached the highest level they can achieve in sport while at school when they were awarded Merit Ties.

The merit tie is awarded to learners at the school who have made the highest team possible while a schoolboy. It is an award higher than an Honours award.

Luke James was selected for the SA men’s gymnastics team to compete to qualify for this year’s Olympics. He is the only KZN representative at senior level to make his division.

Ethan Matkovich was selected for the SA U18 hockey side to take part in the National U21 IPT.

Troy Botha made the SA U18 softball team that has just returned from New Zealand after they participated in the Softball World Cup.
