Westville Boys’ High nets total water polo victory

Westville Boys' High School dominated in their recent water polo matches against DHS.

WESTVILLE Boys’ High School’s 1st and A water polo teams travelled down to DHS on Thursday, 20 February to play their local rivalry.

Due to the smaller pool, Westville’s 1st team felt the pressure going into the water against DHS.

The WBHS team rose to the occasion and put on a spectacle for the crowd. Blake Holmes proved why he was selected for the SA U17 side as he scored seven of the 12 goals.

Westville leaked a few in the middle of the game as DHS picked themselves up to fight back hard. The big hitters on Westville’s side ensured they won game with a comfortable 12 – 7.

The school’s U14A side started the game with a quick counter-attack game style in the first two chukkas.

The second team had a lot to prove in the fixture and they played an exceptional game and claimed a well-structured and deserved 6 – 3 win.
