Westville Boys’ High School dominates

The first side won 13 – 1, and the 14A followed suit with a comfortable 10 - 4 win in water polo.

WESTVILLE Boys’ High School played St. Charles in summer sport at the weekend. WBHS played four games against St. Charles winning three.

The first side won 13 – 1, and the 14A followed suit with a comfortable 10 – 4 win in water polo.

Basketball was always going to be a tough fixture given the quality St Charles poses on the court, but Westville once again displayed a spirit and commitment pursuant only to a WBHS sportsman. The first team game was exhilarating and exciting, with a display of talent from both sides and atmosphere at a world class level.

After playing 12 games, Westville won six and lost six, St Charles claiming the 1st side game but WBHS once again showing dominant depth.

On the cricket field the weather in Pietermaritzburg was always going to play a bigger role than one would want, which unfortunately in this sport results in the toss being a factor that greatly influences the outcome.

The first side unfortunately went down to a competitive St Charles outfit but certainly not for lack of fight. Ultimately, we played six games in PMB with St. Charles winning four, WBHS winning one and one being called off due to bad light.
