Prepare yourself for Tsogo Sun Sprint

If you enjoy horse racing, fashion or both, the Tsogo Sun Sprint is the perfect event to keep you entertained this Saturday.

THERE are only a few days left to the biggest horse racing event in Pietermaritzburg, the Tsogo Sun Sprint.

The event will be hosted by the Scottsville Racecourse on Saturday, 25 May from 10am to 5pm and entrance is free.

The Tsogo Sun Sprint is the only horse race in South Africa to feature four A-Grade races in one day. This legendary event celebrates 57 years of providing locals and out-of-towners with a full day of live entertainment, fashion, food, competitions and the main attraction of the event, world-class racing. The stakes are high this year with more than R3.7 million in prize money to be won!

The fashion competition is open to all aspiring, emerging and established fashionistas in the Midlands, Pietermaritzburg and Durban areas – and no registration required. This year’s theme is Vintage Flair. The winners in each Classic Race Wear category, male and female, will receive R3 000 each, the first runners up R2 000 each and the second runners up R1 000 each.

Race goers can also stand a chance to win their share of R30 000 in accommodation prizes by answering a quick question on of the complimentary entry forms. Once completed, simply slot the entry form into one of the competition boxes along the race course between 11am and 3.30pm. This promotion is open to anyone above the age of 18.

If you live in Durban, you can use the Park & Ride facility from Greyville to Scottsville for only R100 per person. This also includes a R50 betting voucher and a Tsogo Sun Sprint race card. Contact Zain Adams on 031 314 1788 to book.
