Keeping momentum

Two high school learners claimed top spots at the inaugural Universal Networks M13 Classic recently.

THOMAS More College matriculant, Tiffany Keep, led her teammates, Chalita Johnson and Elmari de Wet, to claim second place in the team open at the Universal Networks M13 Classic on Sunday.

Travis Stedman, another TMC learner, snapped up a place in the top 10 in the men’s 85km event.

The Bluff Meat Supply Team kept a tight control of the racing to set up Mike Viljoen for victory in the inaugural event.

For the first three of the five laps, the Bluff team used their vastly superior numbers to keep a tight control on the racing, which allowed Viljoen to sit in the group until the second last time up the long M13 climb toward the finish.
