Slam dunk for Westville basketball teams

Westville won 11 of the 13 games against Northwood.

WESTVILLE Boys’ High School ended their basketball season on a high note this weekend, taking down the Northwood 1st side despite only one matric playing, with both Westville and Northwood holding their matric dances on the evening, giving a host of younger players an opportunity for a 1st team cap.

Westville started the 1st quarter fairly slowly, posting up a mere 13 points. Using a variety of defenses to keep Northwood thinking, this paid off as Northwood only managed to post six points.

Westville again changed up their defense and pressure Northwood into making silly mistakes which resulted in some open baskets.
