PINETOWN Girls’ High School played host to the adrenaline-fuelled KZN Football Association’s U19 soccer tournament recently.
Sixteen schools entered the annual soccer tournament and the teams did not disappoint as they attacked, tackled, headed-butted, kicked and dived to win possession of the ball and score goals.

The round robin stages were exciting as many goals were scored.
The teams that progressed to the quarter finals were Kloof High School, Crawford La Lucia, Port Shepstone High School, Eshowe High School, Durban Girls’ High School, Curro Hillcrest and Pinetown Girls’ High School.
The semi-finalists were Port Shepstone High School, Hillcrest High School, Kloof High School and Pinetown Girls’ High School.
The two finalist schools who emerged victorious were Port Shepstone High and Pinetown Girls’ High.After a gruelling 20 minutes of attacking football, Pinetown Girls’ scored in the last minute and were crowned the champions.
