Chill and be pampered at PYC this Father’s Day

With live entertainment, a play area for children and a team of cooks on kitchen duty - what more could you possibly need to enjoy Father's Day?

WHILE the keen sailors are competing offshore of Durban, the Point Yacht Club invites land-based fathers to come and enjoy a Father’s Day braai on the lawns of the club this Sunday.

Informal seating will be set up on the club’s main lawns overlooking the yacht mole. There will be safe activities for children, including a jungle gym yacht, swimming pool and a jumping castle. The fires will be lit early, and for a change, dads can sit and relax while Chef Markus and his team fire up the food. As always, Chef Markus has an alternative menu if braais are not your thing. The Chef has organised a delectable three course meal, with a mouth-watering dessert menu to top the special day off.

Talented local muso Louis Nel, frontman for the Durban band, Systraat Serenade, will perform. He will revisit a number of old favourites and classics, as well as delve into a bit of jazz and a few of the more recent numbers.

Craig Millar, Commodore for the Point Yacht Club said, “It is a difficult choice to make this weekend. One should be sailing with top South African competitors but then hanging out with the family and indulging in Markus’ fabulous flavours. It really is a difficult decision.”

If you are looking for an easy afternoon, relaxing on the lawns this Father’s Day, look no further than the Point Yacht Club. To book a spot contact 031 301 4787.
