Kearsney College rounds up weekend sports

Grade 11 pupil, Dylan Richardson, was chosen for the SA Schools A rugby team.

KEARSNEY College is proud of Grade 11 pupil, Dylan Richardson, who was chosen for the SA Schools A rugby team following the recent Craven Week hosted by the school in Botha’s Hill.

Dylan played for the Sharks U18 team at Craven Week. The team will play U19 International Series fixtures, which are SA Schools A vs Italy (Cape Town) on Friday 12 August at 2.30pm, SA Schools A vs England (Bishops, Cape Town) on Tuesday, 16 August at 2.30pm; and SA Schools A vs Wales (Paarl Boys High) on Saturday, 20 August at 2.30pm.

In rugby 7s news, Kearsney College finished sixth out of 16 participating schools at the weekend’s Rugby Sevens held at Crawford La Lucia. In Pool A, Kearsney lost in sudden death to DHS 20-20FT; Kearsney beat South Coast INV 60-0 and Kearsney beat Creston College 48-0. Kearsney beat Kloof High 29-12 in plate and in the plate final lost against Michaelhouse 7-12.

In soccer news, Kearsney College’s 1st team lost to Northwood 1sts 0-1.
