The invitational tennis festival has become a highlight on the national schools' tennis calendar.

FOR the 21st consecutive year, Kearsney College in Botha’s Hill will host the country’s top tennis schools in a three-day invitation festival this weekend, 13 to 15 May.

Current top-seeded schools in the country, Grey College from Bloemfontein and Paul Roos from Stellenbosch, will participate together with Affies (Pretoria), Pretoria Boys’ (Pretoria), Clifton College (Durban), Selborne College (East London), Stellenbosch High School (Stellenbosch) and hosts, Kearsney College.

The festival has become a highlight on the national schools tennis calendar and an incredibly high standard of tennis is always evident from the top junior players in the country. While it is hosted by Kearsney College, the 56 competitors will play on courts at Kearsney College, Highbury Preparatory and St Mary’s DSG schools.

Festival organiser, Anthony Willows, said a new headline sponsor, Seeff Properties, had come on board this year, while Sportsman’s Warehouse and Wilson were still committed to supporting the event.

Kearsney old boys, Tim Johnson and Brett Botsis, licensees from the Umhlanga and Dolphin Coast branches of Seeff, said they were excited to be involved with the festival and wished all participants and coaches a competitive and successful tournament.
