ZAMA Ngidi is Kloof High School’s Spar Star of the Month.
The Grade 11 pupil has been playing hockey since Grade 3 at Kloof Junior Primary school and continued with the sport as a goalie at Kloof Senior Primary School, with encouragement from her coach at the time.
Zama has continued to impress since enrolling at Kloof High School and last year made it through to the final KZN Coastal Trials.
At the recent Gelofte Night Series Girls 1st Team Hockey final between Kloof High School and Hillcrest High School, Zama was put under pressure after the game ended in a draw and resulted in the eight-second rule penalty shoot out. Zama saved three attempts which resulted in Kloof High School’s team winning the trophy for the second year in a row.
