Hike Emberton/Springside, Gillitts. Meet at Emberton Driving Range (90 Ashley Drive, Gillitts) at 1.45pm. A walk from the Emberton Driving Range to the Springside Nature Reserve and back, R20 donation towards the reserve.
Tea or coffee and cake at the Emberton coffee shop after the hike.Grading two, moderate distance – 9km. Contact hike leader, Philip, on 082 417 0204.
Sunday 31 January
At 2pm, hike Highstakes. Take Cato Ridge exit (53), turn left and follow Highstakes 4×4 track and store signs. Downhill splendour on the new clear trail, then tea and famous chocolate cake afterwards or sundowners and dinner at the pub.
