Jarryd Ramsden is the youngest bowler to win the Men's Singles Bowls Champion Trophy of Bowls Port Natal.

HILLARY Bowling Club congratulated the youngest bowler to ever win the Men’s Singles Bowls Champion Trophy of Bowls Port Natal. Jarryd Ramsden claimed the title for his win over Roy Funnell of the Durban Wanderers Bowling Club in a close final game of the Champion of Champions Bowls Tournament, held at the Stella Park greens on Sunday, 2 August.

Ramsden, at the age of 23, is the youngest bowler to win this tournament, which is contested by the Singles Champions in each of the 28 clubs in the Port Natal bowls district.

Speaking to the Queensburgh News, Ramsden said he is proud of himself for this achievement. “I know that this tournament has been around for a long time and it is quite something to win the title. I look at the trophy and see the names of people who now play for the Springboks and the cricket team and now my name is on it,” he exclaimed.
