Lyle is Kearsney’s all-round sportsman

Kearsney College's Lyle Jarvel, is a strong sportsman across many sporting codes which include hockey, swimming, waterpolo, soccer, indoor hockey hockey, canoeing and mountain biking.

KEARSNEY College has chosen Grade 11 pupil, Lyle Jarvel, as its SPAR Star of the Month for July.

Lyle was selected for the SA U17 hockey squad. He has played first X1 hockey for Kearsney for three years – proof that his outstanding hockey skills were evident from an early age.

A strong sportsman across many sporting codes, Lyle is also a member of the school’s A swimming team, second water polo team and last year played for the U16A soccer team. He is also involved in indoor hockey, canoeing and mountain biking.

Lyle’s leadership qualities saw him become a member of the school’s Junior Students Council and he has also undertaken the rigorous, internationally valued self-development Pilgrim Award programme.
