Fun ride to assist the needy

A group of old friends will host a fun ride to raise funds for Rencken Centre, Wartburg.

A TEAM of old friends called xtreme-fun-draisers, with an interest in extreme sports will host an off road fun ride on Sunday 23 November, at “The Farm”, 53 Pope Ellis Drive, Ashburton.

This group is a compassionate bunch of petrol heads with a close affiliation with the Rencken Centre, Wartburg – a home for adults with special needs.

The swimming pool at the Rencken Centre is in need of repairs.

Registration starts at 7am. The ride begins once you have completed your indemnity and registration and ends at 2pm. The terrain is not suitable for Quads. Beginners / 50cc riders will participate in an area with a suitable track laid out and marked – parental supervision is required. The entry fee for beginners is R50. All other entry fees are R150 per category. There will be two off road courses: an intermediate loop of approximately 10km, and an advanced loop of approximately 16km. There will be a separate adventure and vintage loop of approximately 13km.

Pits and parking will be provided. Medics and marshals will be on site. Participants will be required to abide by the safety rules of the event. Participants are reminded to bring their fire extinguishers.

This will be a fun filled family event in park like surroundings. There is a lovely club house, fresh ablution facilities, and delicious catering with a full bar available. There will also be lucky draw prizes.

All petrol heads, bikers, biking clubs, families, distributors are welcome to attend.
