THOUSANDS of cyclists took part in the 28th annual Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic, one of the oldest classic cycle races in South Africa and a premier cycling event in KwaZulu-Natal.
Annie Batchelder, who heads up Right On the Night, said that this year’s Amashova introduced a number of important firsts and new features introduced this year included corporate challenges, a hosting village at the finish line and a timed criterium lap race. The 1km and 5km mini shova, presented by Spur for children, was also re-introduced this year with hundreds of entrants.
Annie thanked all who had contributed towards making the 2014 Tsogo Sun Amashova Durban Classic a success.
