ST Mary’s DSG held its annual inter-house gala on Friday 7 March.
The pupils were dressed festively in house colours to support and encourage fellow pupils and athletes. They also donned colourful war paint to ‘intimidate’ opposing houses.
The roars of support could be heard for miles as the pupils competed in the butterfly, medley, backstroke and freestyle relays.
The Bishops took first place with 255 points, followed by the Butchers, with 211 points and Baines took third place with 195 points.
Kristen Davis (Butchers) won the individual medley relay. Giorgia Hannan (swimming captain), Courtney Smith, Katherine Gooden and Claire Franklin won the 4 x 50m medley relay as well as the 4 x 50m freestyle relay.
Rebekah Falkson, Sarah McIlroy, Luca van Greunen and Tayla Putz (Baines) won the U15 50 metre medley relay.
