THE Gelofte School U18 netball team won the match against the U18 Kloof team on Friday 7 February at the Spar Night Series Tournament held at Gelofte School in Pinetown.
Both teams played furiously, skillfully defending their goals as well as working as a team to score goals. After the first half, the two teams were tied with 14 points each. During the second half Gelofte dominated the match, scoring five consecutive goals in a row at one point. Kloof held up their defence, but it was no match for Gelofte’s teamwork. They managed to score additional goals, but were unable to keep up with Gelofte. In the end Gelofte won the match with 25 points to 19.
The U18 Gelofte School rugby team also won the match against Kingsway High School with 24 points to five. Kloof High School’s U18 rugby team was also victorious in their match against Durban North Collage. The end results were 36 to 14.
