Thank you kind motorists

Letter to the Editor - week ending 9 April 2021.

WE are elderly, long-time readers of the Highway Mail and we have always enjoyed reading the opinion section.

My wife is in her mid 80s and I am over 90 years old. We were traveling along Kassier Road on Friday, 2 April at about 4pm, returning from a dialysis session at the Hillcrest Private Hospital. We hit a deep pothole in the road. The front side tyre was damaged and deflated.

We started to change the wheel and it was clear this was near impossible because of the weight of the wheels. After about 10 minutes, a car stopped and the driver and his passenger changed the wheel for us.

We were, and are, beyond words to thank them. We hope the publication of this letter will help show our gratitude to the Good Samaritans who did not pass us by.
