Create a safer commute for motorists

Letter to the Editor - week ending 2 April 2021.

The damaged safety rail on Inanda Road, just after its intersection with Mill Road as you approach the bridge, is buckled and damaged and has been in its present state for many months.

In addition, there is a load of cement that presumably fell off the back of a truck and has hardened at the side of the road, making this hazardous corner more dangerous and an eyesore.

As I use the pavement on this road frequently, I often see fresh damage from cars that continually overshoot the corner and have consequently gone over the broken guard rail, down the embankment, causing fresh damage to the remaining guard rail posts.

Due to their ostensible lack of action, the authorities seem quite content to leave this situation as it is.
