Thank you for your assistance

Letter to the Editor - week ending 5 February 2021.

On Monday, 25 January we were driving from Cato Ridge when a large truck flashed its lights and let us know we had something wrong with the tyre.

We drove a little way up the glide off to the alternate route and pulled over. The trucks were going past so fast on the N3 and causing such a strong wind. The tyre was absolutely flat.

Malcolm was busy changing it and I was walking up and down the road, replacing the triangle as the wind from passing vehicles blew it over. A gentleman with du Boir, I think, written on his bakkie pulled over and offered to help.

Malcolm was so exhausted, he was grateful to let him take over. Meanwhile, there was an armed response vehicle stopped just ahead of us the whole time until we actually drove off.

We are very grateful that there are still considerate people around at this time. Thank you to the two gentlemen. Apologies that we cannot name you.

Dawn and Malcolm
