Dear Editor – Thank you for support

"I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the people who responded and provided us with saddles and other tack needed to work and ride the horses" - Sonja Rahn

IN May this year, there was an article in the Highway Mail (Help Assagay’s Sonja get back on track) about our home invasion, loss of saddles, equipment as well as personal goods used for our business, Flying High Vaulting, as well as the non-profit we run for children from KwaNdengezi and Cliffdale.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the people who responded and provided us with saddles and other tack needed to work and ride the horses, as well as the generous donation of finances to help feed our two much-loved horses.

We have made it through the worst of the lockdown and our horses are healthy and eager to work. Most encouragingly, the children are back again.

I wish I had the number of each person who extended help to us in this time of crisis and thank you personally. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude.

It is so encouraging to know that we live in a community where people are so willing to help in a time of need. Thank you!

Sonja Rahn
