No point in cancelling a fine

"I have yet to receive a response and hence have not paid the fine and am waiting for my summons to appear."

IN response to Jeremy Smith’s This is not fine letter dated, 15 June 2018, I wish him well going to Durban Metro as he will not get any assistance.

Melanie Brauteseth is still going to make sure that proper signage is erected says it all.

She does not offer any assistance with the R100 fine other than to contact people.

Clearly the objective is to make money. Even after I got the Metro Captain to come out and see that there was no signage, I was told the ticket was already written and could not be cancelled and he too contacted someone to come and erect proper signage.

I have yet to receive a response and hence have not paid the fine and am waiting for my summons to appear. I suggest that Jeremy take pics of the area before they erect signage.

Melanie Brauteseth, Ward 18 councillor, responds:

“I am working on the matter regarding the necessary signage and have not received a response from the department to when the signs will be put in place.”
