Noisy neighbours disrupt quiet in Brackenhill Road

"We need the support of every resident in this area to rectify this situation before it gets out of hand."

WE are residents on Brackenhill Road.

It was a peaceful quiet neighbourhood until July this year, when suddenly we were bombarded with drums, Vuvuzelas and whistles from early morning until evening.

People who claim to be members of a church have taken up residence on a dilapidated property across from our complex.

We, as law abiding citizens, raised a complaint with our councillor. We were given the name of the person to deal with at the municipality, which we duly did just to be told that she raised the rates on the property and handed it over to department concern.

The fact is, it is a residential site and the law states not more than one family can reside on a property.

At the moment there are quite a number of people on the said property, with no ablution facilities.

It is now 5.35pm (22 October) and the noise is still going on.

The property in question is on the corner of Brackenhill Road and Mkusi Road.

We need the support of every resident in this area to rectify this situation before it gets out of hand.
