Hospital staff strike is shocking

Employ those whose heart lies with patients and not with their bank balance.

THE article titled “Hospital staff run out of patience” refers.

As an employee, in today’s economic situation in SA, I wouldn’t sneeze at a 6.2 percent salary increase to say the least.

I wonder if these “vital” hospital employees, including nurses, which is absolutely unbelievable, realise they are lucky to have work at all – there are millions of unemployed, trained, matriculated and professional people sitting at home without a job.

What happened to the nurses who work for the love of caring for people – where have they gone?

Is their job all about the money? More to the point, what about the patients?

My solution, get rid of those strikers – yes I know it will be difficult but it can be done – and employ those whose heart lies with patients and not with their bank balance.
