Taxis drive dangerously

"We should consider introducing "Midi Buses" training drivers properly with a public service vehicle licence."

WHEN are we going to see something done by the authorities about the impunity these so called taxi drivers get away with day in and day out?

Not an hour of any day goes by without the relentless bullying and intimidation by these often unlicensed individuals on the law abiding drivers on the roads.

One wonders if the passengers they carry do or say anything to change the driver’s attitude and negligence, since its their lives they are playing with.

Not to mention the condition of a lot of the vehicles they drive, doors tied down with wire, no brake lights, bald tyres etc.

But what gets to me the most is the dangerous way they bob and weave through traffic, often cutting me up with absolutely no regard for safety, or anything else for that matter.

Wouldn’t be a bad thing to take them off the road entirely, then consider introducing “Midi Buses” training drivers properly with a public service vehicle licence.

I think we would all feel safer and better on the roads, not to mention reducing drastically the number of taxis currently on the road, taxi wars, blockades etc.
