What a joke and dishonest statement that is.
We live in New Germany and are without water supply since Wednesday, 18 January, till today with the water switched back on for only plus/minus 10 hours in-between, and at night when nobody knows about it or uses it.
Calling the emergency number one can feel over the phone that whoever is on the other end couldn’t give a damn.
All we are told is that the reservoir is empty and there is nothing we can do.
Nice attitude. I’m sick, can’t drive a car or move freely and by now sick and tired of the whole situation.
In all that time until now there was one water tanker (apparently the only one New Germany has got) once driving along our road hooting, not even stopping, and gone again in a flash.
Not a chance for the people, who are by now desperately in need of water, to get any supply.
What is the reason for paying rates and taxes and on top of it all VAT when there is no value let alone value added.
If this would happen in any civilised country the municipalities would be in real trouble for their incompetence.
I’m sure all the big wigs there are not experiencing any water shortages making sure their reservoirs are full all the time.
I will now go public with my complaint in the hope that somebody will be competent enough to get a solution for this sore affair since the government obviously can’t give a hoot.
One very angry ratepayer and desperate citizen.
