It costs nothing to be a courteous driver

Letter to the Editor - week ending 2 September 2016.

EDITOR – It is time that drivers in the Pinetown area have manners and be courteous, especially those using Mariannhill Road.

I battle every morning to cross over into Mariannhill Road from either Vincent or Davel Roads. When I eventually get a gap, I have a vehicle riding on my bumper. This happened recently with a light blue vehicle. He drove like a maniac.

The road authorities should also be at the intersection of the M13 off ramp onto Richmond and Old Main Road. As Megs said in her letter, everyone drives for themselves. It is a nightmare. Employ more traffic police and pay them from the fines that they will get if they monitor Richmond Road and Old Main Road. Drivers drive through red robots. I have warned my overseas visitors to not pull off at an intersection until they have checked that no driver is going through on red.
