Appeal for witnesses

A biker is appealing for people to come forward.

EDITOR – My husband, Jannie Coetzee, was on his way to work on Friday, 4 March when a white Toyato Hilux diesel bakkie crashed into the back of him on his motorbike (NU21745, Yamaha Thundercat) at the Hudson Bennet Crescent and Old Main Road traffic lights in Gillitts/Hillcrest.

According to my husband, he slowed down at the robot as the robot was going red and bakkie went into the back of him. He has broken his back as a result of the accident and is currently in Hillcrest Hospital. He was operated on Friday night and is still in the hospital.

I am trying to find witnesses to the accident. Please contact me on 031 242 9437 (work) or 083 621 4581 or e-mail carol.coetzee@sita.co.za.
