Call to stop muggings at busy intersections in Pinetown

Municipality and police need to clean up their act and so something to curb crime, says resident.

EDITOR – How may more times must people be assaulted and robbed on the St John’s bridge?

Everyone knows its a hotspot and the perpetrators run off into the long grass. Why is the grass so long? Surely when you have a main arterial road into and out of Pinetown you make sure it is safe for the commuters?

What is wrong with the municipality and the police that this area is not cleaned up? When the beggars are not at their posts at the traffic lights, the robbers come out.

To add to this, all these people sleep in the post office entrance, and on Saturday morning, around 8.30am, they had still not moved.

Come on now. Do we just shrug and get on with it?
