Chaos along Inanda Road is a hazard to motorists

The authorities responsible for the upgrading of this road have seen fit to take the easy way out by erecting stop streets at major intersections instead of traffic lights.

EDITOR – The existing chaos along Inanda Road is a constant hazard to motorists who travel along this road every day and who have to tolerate the mess and confusion.

However, what is of great concern is the lack of traffic lights along this major road.

Instead, the authorities responsible for the upgrading of this road have seen fit to take the easy way out by erecting stop streets at major intersections instead of traffic lights.

Examples of this are the intersections of Inanda and Ridge Roads and Inanda and Westriding Roads, where confusion is the order of the day – and which will inevitably result in serious and frequent accidents.

It is therefore the responsibility of the Department of Transport not to procrastinate any further and to act immediately by ensuring that there are adequate traffic lights at major intersections along this main busy road.
