What are we doing about Pinetown’s crime hotspot?

"Everyone knows its a hotspot..."

EDITOR – How may more times must people be assaulted and robbed on the St John’s bridge and intersection of Crompton Street and Old Main Road?

Everyone knows its a hotspot, and the perpetrators run off into the long grass. Why is the grass so long? Surely when you have a main arterial into and out of Pinetown you make sure it is safe for the commuters?

What is wrong with the municipality and the police that this area is not cleaned up? When the beggars are not at their posts at the traffic lights, the robbers come out.

Come on now. Do we just shrug and get on with it?
