Public whipping is appealing

Hydie Vigg of Crestholme speaks out about motorists driving on the yellow line.

EDITOR – I’m so tired of taxis, delivery vechicles, and those brain dead, people who think “well they get away with it, so can I”.

Driving in the yellow lane blocking our heros from getting to save people thereby missing the golden hour. Here is my solution – emergency vechicles fitted with on board cameras to take photos of offenders in yellow lane. If caught, punishment would be, a) public whipping of owner of vehicle (okay, that’s too extreme), b) R10 000 fine payable immediately or three days in jail with criminal record or vechicle impounded for two weeks at R300 per day secure fee.

Personally, I like the public whipping. People only learn lessons when they bleed. To the “turn the other cheek” “forgive them for what they do” people, you have allowed those oxygen thieves to get away with MDK (murder, death, kill) at this stage the meek will never inherit the earth.
