Scheduled to take place at Durban’s iconic beaches, the championships will showcase the city’s world-class
surf conditions and kicks off five days of action on Sunday, October 5.

Umhlanga resident and chairman of the EBA, Saul Basckin, expressed his delight at the news.

“We are thrilled to bring this championship to Durban. The warm waters, variety of beach breaks, and Durban’s unmatched hospitality provide the perfect backdrop for such a prestigious event. This is not just a sporting event but a celebration of community, culture and world-class talent.

“Beyond the competition, the EBA remains committed to promoting inclusivity and development within the sport, with initiatives aimed at engaging previously disadvantaged youth and schools in the region,” Basckin said.
