Man dies in N3 crash

The man who was a passenger in one of the two vehicles sustained major injuries and was reported dead at the scene.

A SERIOUS crash on the N3 Pinetown Bound before the Pavilion Mall claimed the life of a man in his 30s last night (October 16).

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said that they responded to an accident scene just after 22:30.

On arrival, he said paramedics found chaos as two vehicles had collided in a rear-end collision.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that three people from both vehicles had sustained various injuries, and more ambulances were dispatched to assist.

“One passenger, a male in his 30s, was found entrapped in the rear of one of the vehicles and found to have sustained major injuries. Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased on the scene,” reported Jamieson.
