Scouts uplift kids’ play area

The 1st Kloof Scouts chose to renovate the Wyebank Crèche to complete a clause in the 2024 Scouts National Challenge.

THE repairing of the playground at Wyebank Crèche has brought colour and excitement for the little ones.

This joy was brought by the 1st Kloof Scouts who chose the crèche to complete a clause in the 2024 Scouts National Challenge.

Troop scouter Richard Loubser said the clause entailed doing a six-hour community service project.

“We chose the renovation of the Wyebank Crèche jungle gyms as our project. We would like to thank the team and all the sponsors for all the help we received,” he said.

Crèche principal Ivey Govender thanked the Kloof Scouts for choosing to renovate their gym.

“As a community-based crèche, this has brought joy to our children – they will now be able to use all the equipment. We truly appreciate them using their holiday on Heritage Day to do this for us,” said Govender.
