Westville SAPS members’ work awarded

The members won various awards at the annual SAPS event to celebrate their achievements.

THE South African Police Service’s eThekwini District recently celebrated outstanding achievements at its annual Excellence Awards.

eThekwini District Commissioner Major General Makhosazana Kheswa, along with other esteemed guests, celebrated the achievements of the police officers and highlighted the importance of fostering a culture of excellence within the organisation.

Westville SAPS members were also invited and secured various awards for their outstanding work for the past financial year.

At this prestigious Excellence Awards, Captain Nonhlanhla Manqele and Sergeant Zwelethu Khathi received the award for best Vispol and Operational Employee in their respective categories.

Constable Leon Pillay received runner-up position for Vispol Operations Employee. Westville Sector Teams, with Lieutenant Colonel Adele Roos, Constable Wasim Sayed, Constable Preslyn Pillay and Constable Leon Pillay, received third place for Team Categories.

Captain Ruth Narasiah, Nalene Ferreira and Nicole Johnson received second place for Administration Teams.

Reserve Constable Sajeel Shukla was awarded second place for the Reservist of the Year.

Westville SAPS Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Roshni Inderh commended the members for flying the Westville flag high. She encouraged members to continue with their commitment and dedication.
