ST Clement’s Catholic Church’s women’s organisation, St Anne’s, held a high tea on Saturday, September 14, to raise funds for their charity work.
The high tea was a sophisticated affair, and the guests did not disappoint as they all came dressed elegantly.
With their motto, ‘Working for Families’, St Anne’s chairperson Thuli Majozi said the high tea was hosted to raise funds for underprivileged families and the church.

“We adopted nine families, and we take groceries to three families per quarter.”
Majozi said they were overwhelmed and grateful with the support they received this year.
“We had people from the surrounding parishes and the members of the public [attend the event]. The high tea is open to anyone, not just church members. This annual event is always fruitful. It uplifts women through various speakers who come on the day to motivate and empower us,” she said.
There were also vendors who were given a platform to showcase and sell their items.
Majozi thanked everyone who made the day a success and supported them.
“We would like to send special gratitude to the Parish Pastoral Council and the parish priest, Fr Melusi Zaca.”
