Police bust gang suspected of terrorising Nazareth community

The four men were arrested at a house in Pinetown for being in possession of guns and suspected stolen items.

FOUR suspects, aged between 19 and 24, who were allegedly terrorising the community of Nazareth and surrounding areas were arrested today (September 13).

According to KZN police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, the suspects were arrested during an operationalised intelligence that uncovered the house in which the suspects were staying.

Netshiunda said KZN Police found the suspects at a house in Pinetown.

“They were found in possession of four firearms, 14 rounds of ammunition, 13 suspected stolen cellphones, five bank cards and other electronic items.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that some of the items were stolen during a recent house robbery in Tshelimnyama in Mariannhill,” reported the police spokesperson

The suspects are expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court today.
