Man nabbed with stolen items in Pinetown

The man was arrested by Blue Security after he was found in possession of stolen items while walking along Caversham Road.

A 30-YEAR-OLD man is expected to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court today, August 13, for possession of stolen items.

The man was arrested on Sunday while walking along Caversham Road after being spotted by Blue Security’s area manager.

“The suspect fled after he saw the security company’s car. The area manager chased the suspect and apprehended him. The suspect was found in possession of an Acer computer tower, two computer speakers, computer cables and a 5-litre wash-and-wax container.

“It is believed that these items were stolen from the area,” said Blue Security.

The Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Jennifer Naidu, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect was handed over to the police.

“He was charged after failing to provide a reasonable explanation for possessing the property,” said Naidu.
