She says: “Some of our top recommendations are to visit Moses Mabhida Stadium for photos and ‘gliding’; to step into a unique African gondola for a magical, relaxing boat ride, and visit the Valley of a 1000 Hills and a crocodile park.”

Nokuphila says Durban has plenty to offer for visitors of all ages and interests.

Here are Durban Tourism’s recommended places to visit during July:

  • The Valley of 1000 Hills is one of the most popular attractions in Durban. This valley is named after the many hills, cliffs and valleys that rise up from the banks of the uMngeni River as it flows from the distant Drakensberg Mountains to the Indian Ocean. Activities include obtaining an insight into Zulu culture, scenic game drives and a visit to a crocodile park.
  • Why walk through the city when you can glide? Bring your family and friends to the world-renowned Moses Mabhida Stadium. Glide effortlessly in and around the stadium, stopping for picture-perfect photo opportunities. Experience the majesty and sheer engineering genius of the stadium.
  • Step into a unique African gondola for a magically relaxing boat ride in the Point Waterfront Canal. Sit back and be taken on a unique and relaxing trip down the scenic canal and back. It is an incredible experience for birthdays, anniversaries, proposals or a fun time out with friends. To find out more, go to: www.gondolas.co.za.
