Join fun beach clean-up in run-up to Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K

The Beach Clean-Up is aimed to drive positivity in the community and bring together residents, runners and walkers ahead of the seventh annual iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K race.

IF you’re interested in making Durban’s shores a safer and cleaner environment and want to make a positive change in your community, join the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series Team together with sponsors for a rewarding Beach Clean-Up on Saturday, July 6, from 08:30 to 10:00 at the Suncoast Amphitheatre Area, the Promenade, the Golden Mile.

This initiative aims to create excitement and foster positive change on the day before the seventh annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, which will paint the streets of Durban red.

Commenting on the diverse benefits of the ‘Beach Clean-Up’, Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports and founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, says, “The Beach Clean-Up is more than just a fun event bringing together residents, runners and walkers. It acts as a catalyst for community-driven positivity. We invite all residents to come together to enhance Durban’s beauty ahead of the seventh annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K.”

A mass participation road race, which boasts an impressive elite racing component, especially in 2024, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K will showcase Durban’s stunning scenery, vibrant atmosphere and wonderful community.
