The market is the brainchild of Sanja Hanekom who said it is designed to promote sustainability, upcycling and the importance of reusing in our community.
“The market will showcase a wide range of unique items, including second-hand/vintage clothing, collectors’ items, accessories and repurposed goods. Thrifting is not only enjoyable but also beneficial to our society,” explained Hanekom.

Hanekom said the community is welcome, not only to shop but to participate in this movement of upcycling, as well. “It has already garnered an overwhelming response from vendors, not only in our area but also from the wider region already. We are truly thrilled about the enthusiasm.

“Vendors are carefully selected to ensure a perfect visitor experience, and we welcome everyone, from professional vendors to individuals cleaning out their cabinets, passionate collectors and history buffs. Our goal is to create a vibrant marketplace where people can come together, support the vendors, enjoy themselves and contribute to saving the planet,” she said.

The market is to continue monthly. For more information, please visit the market’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555856904126.
