Watch Milky Chance live at Durban Botanical Gardens

Milky Chance recently announced their long-awaited return to South Africa with their Living in a Haze tour in February 2024. They will grace the Durban Botanical Gardens on Sunday, February 18, together with supporting acts, Neon Dreams and Sean Koch.

The duo originated in Kassel, Germany, where childhood friends, Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch, formed the indie-pop band and rose to fame with their breakout folk/electronic hit, Stolen Dance, which reached #1 on the charts, was certified platinum in multiple countries and became one of the most Shazamed songs of all time.

Milky Chance will perform at the Durban Botanical Gardens this February.

Their latest album, released in June 2023, on their own Muggelig Records, has already delivered over 500 million streams from three global hits – Colorado, Synchronize and Living in a Haze – and allowed the band to embark on their biggest-ever North American tour, weaving their way across 65 cities, including iconic venues like Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. Over four album releases, they’ve reached a massive global audience of seven billion career streams and 13 million Spotify monthly listeners.

Watch the Flatfoot Dance Company dancers while they are Busy Being Blue

Book ahead for this incredible event! Flatfoot Dance Company, in partnership with the KZNSA, presents Busy Being Blue.

In keeping with its reputation for edgy, beautiful and intelligent dance, Flatfoot Dance Company once again partners with Glenwood’s iconic KZNSA Gallery on February 23 and 24, to offer a site-responsive dance work that asks audiences to join them in proximity – as they untangle ‘busy being blue’.

Choreographed in a collaborative offering by the full company, Lliane Loots, Sifiso Khumalo, Jabu Siphika, Sbonga Ndlovu, Siseko Duba, Ndumiso Dube and Zinhle Nzama, Busy Being Blue kickstarts Flatfoot’s 21st birthday performance calendar for 2024.

In a fluid display of exquisite contemporary dance, Flatfoot’s six resident dancers dive into the head and heart of the blues – a nod to some great blues and jazz music but also to the inner life of struggle and our desperate (and beautiful) fight to be present in this life.

Busy Being Blue has two shows only on February 23 and 24 at 18:30. The KZNSA café will be open from 17:00 for dinner and drinks – come early and enjoy an evening under the stars.

Due to limited seating, pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Tickets are R100 (12 and under pay R80) via flatfootdancecompany@gmail.com.
