New police constables deployed at Pinetown SAPS

Pinetown SAPS welcome newly appointed police constables who will assist in the fight against crime.

AFTER warning the public of the police recruitment scam, Pinetown SAPS has introduced some of the new constables posted at SAPS Pinetown during December 2023 for their Work Place Exposure and Field Training.

The station’s communications officer Jennifer Naidu said the training will take place for six months.

Naidu once again advised the public not to fall victim to the recruitment scam.

“Successful applicants will go through a process of tests which are: a screening of applications, a psychometric test, a physical fitness test, an interview and a medical test.

“The community is urged to not fall victim where they are forced to pay an amount in order to be recruited by the South African Police Service – no persons can make a promise to secure a job,” she said.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
