City keeps lights on as they work weekends

The eThekwini Municipality will keep the lights on this festive season as they plan to operate on the weekends leading up to the holidays.

THE ETHEKWINI Municipality has announced that their Electrical Customer Service Centres will operate on the weekends leading up to the festive season.

“We have extended operating times of the Electrical Customer Service Centres to ensure exceptional customer service ahead of the holidays. Electrical service centres will remain open on Saturdays and Sundays for the next three weekends. This intervention seeks to address the high volume of walk-in queries and to provide convenient assistance to customers.”

The extended hours of electrical customer service form part of the City’s strategy to be ready for smooth operation during the festive season. The opening of the service centres will ensure assistance of customers – with their bill payments, meter readings, new electrical connections and general enquiries.

The centres will start operating on the weekend of November 25th and continue until December 10. Opening times will be between 07:30 to 15:30 on Saturday and Sunday.
